Opening Folder Content in a Desktop File Manager
The Ajax Browser can open folder content in a default OS file manager. For example on Microsoft Windows it will show files in Windows Explorer and on Mac OS X it will open Finder. This enables a quick jump from your web application to familiar desktop tools.
To open desktop file manager the Ajax Browser is using following approaches:
- davX: protocol in case of Chrome, FireFox, Safari, Edge and IE 11.
- HttpFolders behavior in case of Internet Explorer 10 and earlier.
